Business development, fundraising, and market intelligence. Sometimes we advise. Sometimes we invest. Often we stick around.
Based in Colombo. Working across South Asia, Europe, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
What we do.
You have something worth funding but it's not landing. We help you figure out what you're actually offering and how to say it so the right people say yes.
Everything still depends on you. We build the systems for fundraising, BD, and partnerships so the organisation works beyond any single person.
You know what you need money for but not where to find it — or you know where it is but can't bridge the gap. We know how donors and investors think, and we translate between them.
You want to invest, expand, or scope a programme in a market you're not close to. We do the groundwork — mapping what's viable, connecting institutional plans with what's actually happening, and structuring the work so it's useful to the people making decisions. Strongest in Sri Lanka and South Asia. Clear-eyed everywhere.
Most of our work starts with advisory. Where it goes from there depends on the business and what it actually needs.
We start by listening. What does this business actually do? What's working, what isn't, what does the founder need? We don't show up with a template.
If the fit is right, we get involved — building systems, sharpening strategy, strengthening operations. Hands-on, not from the sidelines.
When we believe in what's being built, we back it — with capital, time, or both. The form changes as the business grows. The commitment doesn't.
Fifteen years bridging institutions and ground-level reality — leading business development for an international NGO, consulting for the World Bank on digital identity and public infrastructure, running programmes across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Now based in Colombo, applying the same skills in a different context: helping businesses, organisations, and development partners get things scoped, structured, and moving.
Some of our advisory work turns into something deeper. We get to know a business from the inside — its strengths, its gaps, its people. Sometimes we come to believe in it enough to put capital behind it, not just advice.
Serendib Impact Fund I is the vehicle for that. Small tickets, flexible structures — equity, revenue share, convertible notes — whatever fits the venture, not a template. We source through relationships, not databases. And we stay involved long after the cheque clears, because the point was never just the money.
Strategy, instruments, risk approach, impact framework, and the case for Sri Lanka. We'll send it within 48 hours.
Tell us what you're working on. If we can help, we'll say how. If we can't, we'll say that too.
